There may be no contact with the server of any Boinc project because on Windows Server 2008 R2 the Boinc manager program does not run until the user is logged on.

For the Boinc manager to run before you log on, you must run the Task Scheduler. Create a new task with any name.

On the General tab, under When running the task, use the following user account: press the Change User or Group.. button. Choose the user from which you want to run the Boinc manager.

Choose Run when user is logged on. Check Run with highest privileges.

Move to Triggers tab. Create the new trigger. Under Begun the task: choose At startup then press OK button.

Move to Actions tab. Create the new action and browse Boinc manager. Enter the password of the user from which Boinc manager will be run.
